What I do

Applied Organizational and Measurement Science

I work at the intersection of survey design, measurement, media format, and applied evaluation.

My consulting focuses on helping organizations answer questions such as:

 

  • Does this survey, assessment, or evaluation process reduce cognitive burden, or does it unintentionally increase it? 
  • Are video based or technology enhanced formats improving clarity, accessibility, and engagement, or introducing additional noise? 
  • Can the reliability and defensibility of results be supported across formats, settings, and populations? 
  • What can longitudinal data collection reveal about impact, change over time, and program effectiveness? 
  • Where are the process, design, or implementation weaknesses that a needs assessment can uncover before larger decisions are made?

About Me

 

I am a researcher and consultant specializing in digital survey methodology, assessment, and applied evaluation, with experience supporting universities, K-12 settings, nonprofit organizations, public institutions, and assessment developers.


My work integrates theory driven design with empirical diagnostics to improve data quality in high stakes environments. In addition to my academic and consulting background, I bring substantial applied leadership experience, including service in a federal role with responsibility for overseeing more than 50 personnel and managing a multimillion dollar annual budget.


That combination of research training and practical leadership experience shapes my approach to consulting. I work to help organizations generate evidence they can trust, improve systems that matter, and make sound decisions in complex real world settings.
