John studied the Bass at Shenandoah Conservatory under Golder Oneill prior to auditioning into the College of Charleston School of the Arts as a Music Performance Major, Jazz Bass. Enlisting in the United States Coast Guard in 2013, John went from E-3 to O-2 in 6 years of decorated service. In 2018 John was awarded the distinguished Coast Guard Commendation Medal for directly leading rescue and response efforts in Saint John USVI following hurricanes IRMA and MARIA. Learn more here!
